How We Help

We don't just recommend change. We help make it happen.

Define Growth works alongside financial planning leadership teams to turn enterprise priorities into action — improving leadership, people, processes, technology, data, operating models, governance and commercial performance.

We don't stop at assessment and recommendations. We stay involved through implementation — because transformation is difficult when you're already running a successful business.

A structured approach to enterprise transformation.

Our four-stage model provides a clear, repeatable framework for enterprise improvement — from initial assessment through to ongoing measurement. Each stage builds on the last, ensuring that transformation is grounded in evidence, shaped by ambition and sustained over time.

Strategy tells us what needs to change. Transformation makes it real.

01

Assess

Enterprise Index Score™

Understand the enterprise you've built.

Every engagement begins with the Enterprise Index Score™ — Define Growth's proprietary diagnostic methodology for assessing the underlying strength of a financial planning enterprise.

The assessment considers six interconnected Enterprise Domains: Strategic Clarity, Leadership & People, Operating Model, Commercial Strength, Governance & Risk and Enterprise Readiness. It provides an evidence-led view of where the business is today, where capability is strongest, where friction or dependency exists and where management attention can create the greatest impact.

Output

Enterprise Index Score™ across six domains, with supporting evidence, domain analysis and priority recommendations.

02

Design

Enterprise Roadmap

Decide what matters.

The Enterprise Roadmap translates the assessment findings and the owner's intended destination into a prioritised programme of change. It sets out what needs to happen, in what order, and why — providing a clear and coherent plan that the leadership team can own and execute.

The Roadmap is not a generic improvement plan. It is shaped by the specific findings of the Enterprise Index Score™ and the destination the owner intends to reach — ensuring that every priority moves the enterprise in the right direction.

Output

A prioritised Enterprise Roadmap aligned to the Enterprise Index Score™ findings and the owner's intended destination.

03

Transform

Implementation

Make the change real.

Define Growth works alongside the leadership team to implement the priorities identified in the Enterprise Roadmap. This is not a consulting engagement that ends with a report. We stay involved through the difficult work of making change happen — providing expertise, challenge, accountability and support.

Transformation typically spans leadership and people, operating model redesign, process improvement, technology selection and implementation, commercial management, governance and risk, and management information. The scope is determined by the Roadmap — not by a fixed service offering.

Output

Hands-on implementation support across the priorities in the Enterprise Roadmap, with regular progress reviews and course correction as required.

04

Measure

Trajectory

Understand whether the enterprise is moving.

The Trajectory reassessment measures progress against the original Enterprise Index Score™ — providing an objective view of how far the enterprise has moved, where momentum is strongest and where constraints remain.

It establishes the next set of priorities and ensures that transformation remains connected to the owner's intended destination. The Trajectory is not a one-off exercise — it is the mechanism through which Define Growth and the leadership team maintain shared accountability for enterprise improvement over time.

Output

An updated Enterprise Index Score™, a progress assessment against the original findings and a refreshed set of priorities for the next phase of transformation.

What we work on.

The scope of transformation is determined by the Enterprise Roadmap — not by a fixed service catalogue. Across engagements, Define Growth typically works across the following areas:

Leadership & management capability

Strengthen the leadership team by building on existing capability, broadening collective experience and developing the management structure and people needed for future growth.

Operating model design

Redesigning the processes, roles and structures through which the business delivers its client proposition — improving efficiency, consistency and scalability.

Technology selection & implementation

Defining technology requirements from the enterprise up — and supporting selection, procurement and implementation of the right solutions.

Commercial management

Improving pricing discipline, revenue visibility, capacity management and the connection between operational performance and enterprise value.

Governance & risk

Strengthening governance structures, risk management frameworks and the controls that protect the enterprise, its clients and its owners.

Management information

Build the data, reporting and management insight leaders need to make better decisions and run the business with greater clarity and confidence.

Ready to build a stronger enterprise?

Every engagement starts with a conversation — understanding where the business is today, what the owners want to build, and where they ultimately want to go.
